If you love outdoor life, you'll find plenty to keep you active in Pagosa Springs, CO. We’re located in the Rocky Mountains of southwest Colorado at an elevation of about 7,400 feet. Lots of sunshine and hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, sailing and canoeing, plus great scenery for photographers and other artists.
We are surrounded by National Forest, close to two ski areas, several lakes and reservoirs, and within short driving distance of the desert and a bit farther to the red rock deserts of Utah and Arizona. Our arts culture is well established with a year-around variety of classes and workshops from hobbyist to professional.
No rat race, short shopping lines and 5 minute commutes! Even though it's a small town, we have several public schools and some private schools, too. City life? Within 2½ hours of Santa Fe, NM, 3 hours of Albuquerque, NM, 3½ hours of Colorado Springs, CO and 6 hours of Denver, CO. Smaller cities are within an hour’s scenic drive.
